मोम के पास कभी आग को लाकर देखूँ
सोचता हूँ के तुझे हाथ लगा कर देखूँ

कभी चुपके से चला आऊँ तेरी खिलवत में
और तुझे तेरी निगाहों से बचा कर देखूँ

मैने देखा है ज़माने को शराबें पी कर
दम निकल जाये अगर होश में आकर देखूँ

दिल का मंदिर बड़ा वीरान नज़र आता है
सोचता हूँ तेरी तस्वीर लगा कर देखूँ

तेरे बारे में सुना ये है के तू सूरज है
मैं ज़रा देर तेरे साये में आ कर देखूँ

याद आता है के पहले भी कई बार यूं ही
मैने सोचा था के मैं तुझको भुला कर देखूँ
